Hartford commercial permit COM-ALT-25-000248 (Commercial Alteration Permit): Interior renovation of a 6-family residential building. At time of purchase, units did not contain kitchen or bathroom fixtures. Work includes installation of new cabinets, vanities, plumbing fixtures, and standard appliances. No demolition was performed aside from removal of one small, non-structural bathroom wall and part of a kitchen partition. Where surfaces were uneven or damaged, new drywall was installed over existing plaster to improve finish quality or meet fire-resistance standards. Ceilings were left intact except for limited access openings to route electrical wiring. Flooring was repaired or replaced where necessary, and all painting and surface upgrades are cosmetic. Entry doors were replaced in kind with UL-rated assemblies. Smoke and CO alarms were brought up to current code with interconnected, hardwired devices. Electrical and plumbing work are permitted separately; plumbing scope is limited to fixture hookups and required testing of existing water and gas lines. No changes were made to structural elements, unit layout, or means of egress. All work complies with IEBC Level 2 and applicable local codes.
