Hartford commercial permit COM-ALT-25-000408 (Commercial Alteration Permit): ROOF RECONSTRUCTION SPECIFICATIONS: • Completely remove the five (5) existing 6’ x 10’ obsolete roof curbs and 36” diameter blower curb and dispose of all debris. Furnish and install new treated 2x ledger boards as needed and joists spaced 16” on center and new treated wood sheathing to close off all resulting openings. Note: There exists one active heater stack currently exhausting up through one of the obsolete roof curbs. The removal and reinstallation of this stack is to be performed by others. Allied will assist with providing a new deck opening for the stack reinstallation and install a new tall-cone flashing and rain collar once the new roof is installed. • Completely remove the existing roofing and wall flashings and dispose of all debris off site in a neat and legal manner. • Any required roof deck replacement is to be performed in accordance with Allied Roofing’s standard Time & Material rates. • Furnish and install one layer of new 1.0” thick closed-cell rigid polyisocyanurate insulation and secure in place with approved fasteners and insulation plates in accordance with the manufacturer’s fully adhered roof installation specifications. • Furnish and install new ½” per foot tapered polyisocyanurate insulation drainage crickets placed between and adjacent to all roof drains along the front side of the roof and all through-wall scupper drains along the rear side of the roof. • Furnish and install a new Johns Manville fully adhered .060 EPDM roof system with 6” wide field seams incorporating 6” seam tape at all field seams and end laps. • Furnish owner with a manufacturer’s Twenty (20) Year Full System non-pro-rated Material and Labor Warranty. • Includes flashing all perimeter parapet walls with adhered .060 EPDM providing complete encapsulation. • Includes installing new shop-fabricated .040 aluminum perimeter edge flashings. • Includes installing and flashing two (2) new apx. 2’ x 2’ “pitched” metal intake and one (1) exhaust fan curbs to be furnished by others. • Includes furnishing and installing new 2x pressure treated wood on top of the existing south, east and west parapet walls to create a smooth surface and to accommodate the new metal edging. • Includes flashing all existing roof penetrations to remain in place. • Includes installing new approved one-piece spun aluminum retrofit roof drains and through-wall scupper drains complete with expandable neoprene couplings, clamping rings and strainers to replace all existing drains. • All work to be performed in strict accordance with all applicable Building Codes and safety regulations.. 911 PARK ST, HARTFORD, CT 06106.
