Project overview

Mecklenburg County commercial permit B4813843: Canal Coffee Distribution Center - The overall project scope is to renovation an existing warehouse space. The interior scope includes demolition of specific walls, interior finishes, ceilings, lighting, and plumbing fixtures. Then, new walls, interior finishes, lighting, and plumbing fixtures will be constructed, as well as a walk-in freezer in the rear of the space. A private garage will be constructed for loading and unloading of company vehicles. Electrical work includes providing new LED lighting throughout and new occupancy sensor lighting controls. Power is provided to new HVAC equipment and new owner provided equipment. Electrical panel boards are existing to remain. There are some known code issues that were discovered during a site visit and those are noted to be corrected. The HVAC scope includes rooftop units for the office area and air-conditioned storage and a heated make-up air unit in the rear loading area. There are exhaust fans for the restrooms and for the front-loading area, and a relief hood in the rear loading area.
