Project overview

Vermont Act 250 application 1R0948 (Major, Rutland Town): Land Use Permit (“LUP”) 1R0948, issued on March 12, 2009, to Mid-Vermont Properties LLC and American Resources Corporation, authorized the construction of a 70,175 square foot multi-tenanted commercial retail facility with a 7,400 square foot restaurant on a 19.58-acre parcel (SPAN 543-171-12461), and additional construction of a 5,000 square foot restaurant on an adjoining 0.50-acre parcel (SPAN 543-171-12517). Condition 16 of LUP 1R0948 required that all construction and site work associated with the project was to be completed by October 15, 2013, unless extended by the District Environmental Commission (“Commission”). Pursuant to condition 16, a timely request to extend the construction completion deadline was submitted on February 11, 2013; LUP 1R0948-1, issued on February 13, 2013, authorized an extension of the construction completion deadline from October 15, 2013, to October 15, 2017.
