Brand intelligence
Know where your brand stands in the public specification documents agencies publish.
SpecIndex reads public spec language across US commercial projects and tells you where your brand is named as basis of design, where a competitor is, and where the spec is still open.
What you get
Three views of the same spec language
Every position links to the CSI division, the page and the verbatim quote in the public source.
Three dates, kept apart: when the agency published the document, when SpecIndex first read it, and the bid deadline when the source gives one. SpecIndex does not claim to see a position ahead of the bid. Of the projects with a published bid deadline from August 2025 on, SpecIndex first read the project before the deadline for about one in five (measured October 24, 2026).
Brand position
For any project, see which manufacturers are named, whether the spec is open to equals, and the exact line that says so.
Competitor watch
Track a rival's mentions by division and geography. See where they are named in the public spec documents we have read, with the document and page.
Open specs
Filter to projects where no manufacturer is named in the documents we hold. That is a list your rep can work this week.
